The future belongs to Marion Bunel
The Frenchwoman flew over the final climb and added a little extra sparkle to her CIC yellow jersey.
She was clearly a cut above the rest. Already victorious in Les Karellis on Thursday, where she had taken a comfortable option, Marion Bunel flew past her rivals on the fearsome slopes of the Colle delle Finestre.
The wearer of the yellow jersey broke away as soon as she entered the gravel section of the last eight kilometres of the climb, and went on to win again at the summit.
The Normandy-born member of the French team is clearly the best mountain rider in her age category and can look forward to a bright future.

Bobbio Pellice is an Italian commune in the metropolitan city of Turin in the Piedmont region of Italy.
Situated at 732 meters above sea level, Bobbio Pellice is a small commune with about 560 inhabitants and is located at the meeting point of three valleys: Charbonniers, Giulian Cruello, and Subiasco.
A land of farmers (butter and delicious cheeses are produced locally), this village is now a popular destination for tourists, including families, hikers, mountain enthusiasts, climbers, and ski mountaineers. The charm of the past blends with the organization and hospitality of the present.
It is possible to follow ancient paths leading to alpine pastures, many of which lie between 800 and 1500 meters, or to climb steep slopes towards nearly inaccessible valleys like Subiasco. The latter is very interesting from a geomorphological perspective with its green rocks. To explore the Charbonniers valley, one must follow the paved road leading to the Barbara refuge, from where excursions into nature are possible, or ascend the forest road within the Barant Oasis, or follow the Pellice torrent upstream along the main road to reach the Conca del Pra, a glacial-origin site surrounded by imposing mountains, meadows, and grazing herds.
Along the ancient trails, you can observe the incredible variety of species that characterize the local flora and fauna. The refuges, agritourisms, bed & breakfasts, restaurants, and taverns offer the opportunity to taste local products in a warm and characteristic atmosphere.
Usseaux is an Italian commune in the metropolitan city of Turin in the Piedmont region of Italy.
Usseaux is a former community of the Briançon Escartons (located in the province of Dauphiné within the Kingdom of France until 1713, when several Dauphiné valleys on the Italian slopes passed to the Duchy of Savoy), and an old commune in the province of Pignerol in the Kingdom of Sardinia, in the Susa district of the Po department during the First French Empire, in the province of Pignerol in the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, and in the Susa district of the Kingdom of Italy.
Usseaux is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and the Touring Club Italiano has awarded it the “Orange Flag,” recognizing the quality of the tourist and environmental policies implemented by the commune.
