The Frenchwoman flew over the final climb and added a little extra sparkle to her CIC yellow jersey.
She was clearly a cut above the rest. Already victorious in Les Karellis on Thursday, where she had taken a comfortable option, Marion Bunel flew past her rivals on the fearsome slopes of the Colle delle Finestre.
The wearer of the yellow jersey broke away as soon as she entered the gravel section of the last eight kilometres of the climb, and went on to win again at the summit.
The Normandy-born member of the French team is clearly the best mountain rider in her age category and can look forward to a bright future.
