Supported by the International Cycling Union (UCI) and Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O), the Tour de l’Avenir, created more than sixty years ago, plays an essential role in the world cycling process.
It also participates in the promotion of cycling and in the animation of the region by crossing France, this year from Morbihan to Savoie, over almost two weeks of racing in August.
In this respect, a new agreement has been signed with the CIC, which is now a sponsor of the Yellow Jersey for both the girls and the boys. Attached to the values conveyed by the event, the CIC will be present, on the sporting side, on the shoulders of the leaders of the event, but will also invest alongside the organisation for its actions in favour of sustainable development (catering, waste, car fleet…).
“We are very happy to support the Tour de l’Avenir and to contribute to its new sporting dynamic. The CIC is used to supporting entrepreneurs and, in the world of sport, to accompanying those who take initiatives and help bring to light the champions of tomorrow by creating popular reference events. The Tour de l’Avenir will be able to count on the presence and commitment of the CIC, with the support of its regional banks fully mobilised at its side throughout the event.”, Daniel Baal, CIC’s Chief Executive Officer.
“We are delighted that a major banking group such as CIC is supporting us in our efforts to develop and promote cycling at international level. Wherever they come from, giving young talent the opportunity to succeed is a shared objective. Welcome to the CIC in the long and beautiful history of the Tour de l’Avenir” – Philippe COLLIOU, event director.
